Very sweet, goofy Akita needs a home. Has been very well taken care of by a veterinary technician. Due to having to move, dog needs home. Was raised with 5 children, 2 cats, 2 small dogs, and a mini pig. Loves everyone she meets, no aggression whatsoever! Needs home asap. Can transport to Delaware if needed.

SHARE TO FIND LUKE A HOME!! Luke is a 3-4 year old small Akita, Staffordshire Terrier mix. He is friendly with everyone he meets. He is good with kids and other dogs. Luke is housebroken and knows his basic commands. He enjoys going for walks and playing fetch. He has great manners and is eager to please. Luke would make a wonderful addition to any home!

|Rescue Me ID: 15-06-23-00492Tek (male)|
Tek is an easy going guy who doesn't need a lot of fuss and muss- he's content to take walks with friends and then likes to sit and watch the world go by. He likes to sniff and explore everything as he goes. He is an independent and confident dog but after spending a few minutes with him, he accepts you as a new best bud and will lean into his handler for some attention. He isn't too interested in treats but he does like toys- so he's would love a new family who will give him some of his very own. Tek would do best in a home with older children, as he can be uncomfortable with rough handling so little ones would be too much for him. If you're looking for your new best bud to hang out with, please come meet Tek. (Less)

Akita Dogs can make good pets in New Jersey if they match your IifestyIe. The Akita Inu, or Japanese Akita, is a large Spitz-type breed of dog. Akitas are intelligent, companionable animals and make excellent guard dogs. Akitas are willful and need firm training. Akitas are protective of children in their own families, but may be aggressive toward outsiders and should be supervised with small kids. Akitas may bite if provoked; they need to be treated with gentleness and respect. Akitas can live in an apartment but do need sufficient exercise; they do best with a large yard.
