|Rescue Me ID: 15-10-04-00287Full Moon Brutus (male)|
Brutus is a pure breed registered male who unfortunately has an autoimmune genetic condition that caused his blindness which has caused aggressive behavior to strangers. We have had to move in with family due to illness and cannot take Brutus with us. We need a good home for Brutus, he is an amazing animal, an awesome guard dog and very sweet to his owners but temperamental with others. Please help if you can.

|Rescue Me ID: 15-09-01-00624Titan (male)|
Titan has been a wonderful member of our family, he just doesn't know how strong he is when he is around our 11 month old daughter He loves going for walks, snuggling in bed, and playing with a soccer ball. We are looking for a new loving family with no young kids and preferably no other dogs. With patient work, he would be okay with other dogs, as he have another dog now who he gets along with.

|Rescue Me ID: 15-08-11-00009Max (male)|
Hello there, my name is Max. I'm 8.5 years young and I have the classy manners to prove it. I'm looking for a new 'job' because I'm tired of 'working' with my drooling, shedding, wrestling, barking, dopey, unrefined 'coworkers'. Don't get me wrong, the humans that are on my staff here are great, and I'm going to miss them. It's the other canines in the house that have driven me to this decision! Bailey is a cool dog in my mind because he is kinda like me and likes his space. Dino however is the 'in your face' friendly kind of guy and I just don't care for that. I have tried to let him know in a doggy kind of way but he just doesn't seem to get it and since I am the newcomer around here, I don't think it's fair for him to adjust how he lives to benefit me. I'm house trained, I'm quiet, I'm polite on the leash, I'm calm, and you can take me places without anything embarrassing happening. In fact, I absolutely adore car rides. We don't even have to get out anywhere. I just love to ride. While I love cats, I love them in the 'for breakfast' sense of the term, and that seems to make some people a little uncomfortable. I'm currently unemployed so I can't split the rent right now, but I'll make up for it by looking after the house and keeping you company when you're not at work. I can move any day because my current landlords have agreed to let me out of my lease as soon as I make other arrangements. If you'd like to get together for lunch or a glass of wine or a splash in the lake, please email my secretary at firstname.lastname@example.org. I look forward to meeting you! I am currently staying with another human friend here in the Raleigh area but you can get in touch with Robert if you would like to arrange a meeting. Also, the aforementioned adoption fee will be donated to the SPCA of Wake County as they are the ones responsible for getting me my current 'position' with Robert and Jack. That and the staff at the SPCA have been awesome in helping me during this transition. |Rescue Me ID: 15-03-15-00075Adele (female)|
Hi, my name is Adele! I am a Plott Hound mix who weighs about 60lbs. I am about 2 years old. I get very excited to meet new people! If I see you in public and you have not come over to pet me I will start whining until you do. When I get excited I pin my ears back as you can see in my pictures. I am working on not jumping up when I greet someone, but I know how to sit if you tell me to sit. I will also give you my paw, and lay down. I enjoy running around the fenced in back yard with other doggies. I am very playful with them all. I will play with any kind of toy you give me, but I love kongs! After I am done playing and greeting you I like to lay on my bed and relax. I have a lot of energy when i'm playing, but I can also be very calm and quiet as well. I have good house manners, I do not get on the furniture unless I am invited. I have not attempted to chew anything that wasn't a toy. I love hugs, if you decide to bend down and give me a hug be prepared for me to lick your face! I do well when being crated at night, i don't even complain. I am also house trained. I am heart worm negative, spayed, microchipped, and up to date on all of my shots. All you have to do it take me home. My adoption fee is $200. If I sound like the perfect fit for you please email my foster mom Megan at email@example.com for more information. Or you can go ahead and fill out an application at www.FCHSNC.org . (Less)

Akita Dogs can make good pets in North Carolina if they match your IifestyIe. The Akita Inu, or Japanese Akita, is a large Spitz-type breed of dog. Akitas are intelligent, companionable animals and make excellent guard dogs. Akitas are willful and need firm training. Akitas are protective of children in their own families, but may be aggressive toward outsiders and should be supervised with small kids. Akitas may bite if provoked; they need to be treated with gentleness and respect. Akitas can live in an apartment but do need sufficient exercise; they do best with a large yard.
